I wrote these lyrics a few years back. I read these lyrics to my mother last Mother’s Day and finally got the courage to lay down the vocals. It broke my heart watching my parents fight the way they did. It felt like my world was caving in. I didn’t understand most of the things I saw, and I never got a clear explanation as to why. I was told I would understand when I got older. I guess I’m not old enough yet. Maybe I carried around that bitterness, maybe through this song I can let it go. Happy Mother’s Day Mom. I love you Mom and Dad.
